Yes I love swag myself and I know I have some but I don't have to annouce it to the world everyday that I got it or do a stupid dance to furthermore extend my pride of my swag...
Now I blame souljah boy again because he gas a song called "Turn my Swag On" and it's getting on my nerves..
Everyone facebook and myspace status have been changed to "woke up out the bed turned my swag on"...

I didn't know you can turn swag on and off like that...
If you really had "swag" its just there is not a damn light switch..
So just to give some of you all some insight if you were think about maybe turning some swag on today remember your getting these lyrics from an 18 year old knucklehead who clearly doesn't have swag and he us the creator of "supermanning that hoe"...
Swag to me is your confidence and demeanor so please I beg of you people if you have that don't turn it off and on just be!

To me, swagga is a state of being. Just apart of your aura. If you can "TURN IT ON" then you're a poseur.

hate to admit it but that song is kinda catchy lol. i don't think he's being that literal with the song just something for the kiddies to get jiggy with. but im tired of the use of swagg all together. it's just getting outta hand !
The song is kinda hot to me. But yeah the term swag is overly used and has been since the summer.

LOL...I've had this convo over on Miss Info's site numerous times. What these kids are calling "Swag" has been known as "style,charisma and presence" for decades. Just like EVERYTHING else in current day hip hop, it starts out ok, gets cool then gets played out in record time.
Other examples: "Bling Bling", "For Shizzle", "My Dude" just to name a few.
The Hip Hop culture has too many followers and not nearly enough leaders.ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK.A lot of folk here are disappointing me in their lacC of creativity.
